Cute little Janie boo had her preschool graduation on Tuesday night. It was seriously adorable even if it was seriously unnecessary. :) Scott was still trying to get on a flight home while it was happening, so I ended up taking only the girls with me. Ethan didn't want to go, and I didn't want to deal with making that happen, so I let him stay home and watch Alex since I also didn't want to have to deal with keeping him from running all around the building.
I have SO loved this little preschool Jane goes to. I'm not an overly sentimental person when it comes to my kids starting kindergarten, but I do have to say that sitting through her graduation and seeing how cute she was and how little she still is left me very close to tears. I kept thinking about how this age that she's at is right on the cusp -- she's still so young and innocent and adorable and she still thinks of me as her best friend. I'm sad to think of the day in the not too distant future when that is no longer the case.
Five seconds before that red dye got all over her shirt and skirt.
Grace's mouth on the other hand was stained blue.
Eating her lunch at the school picnic today.
Boooo! It was so COLD today. Seriously, Tuesday got up to almost 90 degrees, and today while we were at the park it was maybe 50. Poor little Jane was so cold, but Alex couldn't be stopped. I don't even know if he felt the cold! He kept running off to play and I even caught him jumping in water puddles a couple of times, totally impervious to the wet and cold. A lack of rain boots was not an issue for him! Haha.
That naughty little bug. Hahaha.
Swinging is her THING. Even when it's freezing outside. :)
Cute little Jane with a couple of her friends.
Watching a "magic show." It is HILARIOUS how easy it is to make a bunch of preschoolers laugh.

The only thing that kept the afternoon from being perfect was a call from the school nurse around 2:40 saying Sophie was feeling sick and needed me to come and get her. Wah wah. I ended up picking all the kids up since school was almost over anyway, and luckily, once home, Sophie perked right up and erased all my worries of having her home sick from school tomorrow. Hahaha. In all honesty, I think the culprit here was a few extra late nights in a row. We solved that problem for everyone tonight with the early bedtime that they ALL really needed, and hopefully the sun will come out tomorrow. Both metaphorically speaking and otherwise. :)
All hail the Graduate!

Congrats Jane! She is so cute. We had that cold spell too here, not fun after getting a taste of summer. I've got Mitchell signed up for preschool too for next year. I think we are both going to love it!
We also had the cold spell, though in Florida it was down in the 70s. But that's cold for this time of year! We had to cancel our pool play date. Could I be any more obnoxious in trying to relate to you on this subject? haha.
heather -- not obnoxious at all! i personally think the 70's are still WAY too cold to get in a pool and get wet. :)
