Oh yes I did. Hahaha. The kitchen is painted. I knocked it out this evening once 4 out of 5 children were in bed. It took a couple of hours, but I can't decide if it would have taken longer or shorter if Ethan weren't up for most of the time "helping" me.
Ignore the messes all around the kitchen.
"Elephant's Breath" by Farrow and Ball.
{Now that the walls are done, I think it's only a matter of time before I cave and paint the cabinets as well. I personally prefer white kitchen cabinets anyway, but I always hear how you shouldn't paint over wood which is why I haven't done anything yet. YET.}
Oh yes I did.
Other noteworthy things I got done today? A basic clean-up of the computer room. Now that I've got paint colors picked out, I am ready to go! Haha. In all actuality I'm hoping to pick up another gallon of Elephant's Breath tomorrow for the family room and dining room, and a gallon of Edgecomb Gray for the computer room and possibly our bedroom. I'm excited to have all the painting done. Now if only I could get around to hiring someone to do the front hall, then I'll be all set!
Before.
There are several unpacked moving boxes in here as well, in case you were wondering.
Edgecomb Gray by Benjamin Moore featured on the wall there. {And my jellyfish I painted a couple of months ago.}
After.
I forgot to take a picture when I was finished this afternoon, so a poorly lit, night time, cellphone pic is all I've got for now. Hahaha.
And last but not least, here is a texting convo between Scott and myself from this afternoon and a picture to represent the subject.
ME: I don't want you to die of shock or anything, but Grace is doing a money chore of her own making and volition right now.
SCOTT: I don't want to respond for fear of jinxing it.
ME: Haha.
Bam! What? Grace cleaned Alex's room -- which was a MESS -- for 5 dollars. She REALLY wanted to buy something for her pretend animals she's been taking care of online through Webkinz. Hahahaha.
And that is a wrap! I have got to go to bed. I'm TIRED! Stay tuned for better, day-time pictures coming in the near future.

You must have really good balance to have not broken anything on that stool/chair combo! :)
And Elephant's Breath is a really interesting name for a paint color. But it looks good!
I am always impressed by how quickly you get a paint job done. And Grace did a phenomenal job on Alex's room. Banner day!
