Wednesday night was the momentous opening day of Paradise Ice for the season! Seeing as to how it's a family favorite, I've been telling the kids for weeks that we'd go whenever it finally opened. Forget about the fact that it was starting to cool down and it was raining off and on -- we were bound and determined to get our Paradise Ice on. And get it we did!
{This is Jane dancing a Hula, in case you were wondering. :) }
Meanwhile Alex was quite pleased with his Shark Attack.
And as for me -- well, apparently my signature flavor combo is still known. Hahaha. {Half haupia, half wild cherry, stuffed with ice cream, and a snow cap on top of sweetened condensed milk.}
{And just so no one is fooled into thinking that this lovely outing provided the happy ending to our day, rest assured that as soon as we were home, the incessant begging to go to the pool picked up once more -- even though it wasn't that warm AND it was past most of their bedtimes -- and in the end Scott caved and took the older ones while I got the two little ones in bed. The actual ending of our day? Not so awesome. Fits were thrown by EVERYONE about going up to bed once they were home {being over-tired is NEVER a good state of being for our children} and THEN a Tropical Storm Grace started brewing when she remembered that she had a math sheet to do for her homework. I'll spare you the details, but suffice it to say that it took about 40 minutes to do 4 problems all because Grace couldn't find a suitable pencil/eraser combo for the first little bit and then was raging and storming for another LONG bit, while insisting that 36 couldn't by divided by 4 because she had already tried every single way to do it. Exclamation point! Once she finally rained herself out, she finished quickly enough and snuggled under her covers and went to sleep. Paradise indeed. Hahaha.}

Though your signature flavor was still known, I bet you had to explain you are the same lady as last summer. You look 《that》 good.
