We've survived another week! And I do mean survived. Between Alex's almost week-long sick fest, and then Wednesday's early release from school and then SNOW DAY yesterday, I'm going a little stir crazy! To really amp things up, Ethan woke up in the middle of the night last night not feeling well, and Sophie claimed the same this morning. Ethan seems to have a caught a milder version of what Alex had, and -- after throwing up only once -- spent most of the day sleeping on the couch with a fever. With Sophie complaining about an upset stomach, as well, the family room officially became today's sick bay. Haha. Sophie only ever felt a little warm, and never actually threw up, so hopefully her "illness" was more imaginary than real. :) Nevertheless, she parked it on the couch for the bulk of the day, too, and once Jane was off to Kindergarten in the afternoon, I was able to have the first truly peaceful and restful "nap time" of the week! Even if Alex wasn't even the one napping at the time.
{She wasn't actually asleep here. As soon as the camera button clicked, I saw a small smile starting up at the corner of her mouth. Ethan WAS sound asleep, and I did take a picture, but I don't think he likes it when I post "embarrassing" pictures of him on the blog. :) }
In more thrilling and exciting news, I became an aunt again this past week! Twice over!! My little sister, Laura, had her first baby on Sunday -- almost 2 weeks early, which was quite the surprise -- and Emily had her third baby on Wednesday, with a scheduled c-section. I soooooo wish I could fly out there right now and cuddle those sweet little newborns!! For now, I'll just have to make do with all the pictures and videos I can get of these little sweetie pies. :)

Are those not the most precious sights you've ever seen??? I just love me a newborn. :) Have a great weekend everyone! Here's to hoping we KICK this stomach bug to the curb.
