So, I loaded the kids up at 5 and off we went with our resident magician. Scott met up with us after work, and while we ate dinner, Ethan wandered around with his fellow 6th grade magician apprentices, and performed card tricks for interested tables. Granted most of those tables were fellow school mates' families, but still. It was pretty great to see him excited and confident enough to go around with his friends and perform. We had a couple other magicians come to our table, too, and it was actually a really fun night. AND, to knock the evening out of the park, each kids' meal was only $1.99! Score. And when you factor in the tips Ethan earned with his performances, we almost broke even. Hahahahaha. I kid, I kid. He DID get tipped, but it wasn't THAT much. We're talking a few bucks tops. Which is still certainly more than necessary.
All in all, it was a good evening. The kids had a lot of fun, everyone got fed, and we were able to support Ethan and his friends. :)
{I don't think he even realized I took this picture.}
{Or this one.}
Ethan obligingly posed with his friends right before we left. :)
