Birthday Bash Week

Believe it or not, Scott and I are getting REALLY close to being able to read each other's minds.  Hahaha.  Yesterday afternoon/evening -- while I was being coerced by Grace to go to Kroger's so that she and Sophie could spend their money that was burning a hole in their pockets -- I got a text from Scott that said:
Have fun at store.  I have small gift for you for day one of your weeklong birthday celebration.  I hope you like it.
What what say what??  Week long birthday celebration?  Now we're talking!  Haha.

 (He wrapped it and everything.)

 (Ignore my crazy shifty eye there and the photobombing by Ethan.)

Unfortunately, I totally ruined his surprise once I was home with an out of the blue guess at what he got me.  What can I say?  I'm kind of a wizard.  As I was helping him round up the kids to eat dinner, I half-jokingly/hopingly asked him if he had gotten me a shower cap for my gift.  And he totally had!!!  Hahahaha.

Hahahahahaha.

Little known fact (at least perhaps to outsiders), but I hate having to get ready and do my hair after showering.  Especially, since I can rock a done hair-do for at least 3 or 4 days thanks to my absolute favorite product of DRY SHAMPOO.  {Seriously the best invention of all time.}  At some point over the weekend, I off-handedly mentioned how handy a shower cap would be to solve this dilemma, and Scott filed the information away for future use.  Now I'm a happy camper.  :)

{My current favorite brand.  It smells so good, and it really works.  The best trick I've learned to working with dry shampoo is to spray it at the roots and hairline before going to bed so that excess oil is absorbed throughout the night while you're sleeping.  Then, when you wake up, your hair looks awesome and is ready for a new day.  Hahahaha.  ;) }

I love my shower cap! I only wash my hair twice a week (without even using dry shampoo!) so it's a vital product in my bathroom. Way to go Scott on listening. P.S. - They really need a dry shampoo for those of us with dark hair (and that's affordable). I can't use the dry shampoo that is sold in grocery stores because it makes my hair look gray!

PREACH IT, LACHELLE!!!!!! That is my biggest hurdle with going more than 2 days without washing.

Curses of dark hair - huh Natalie?! I hear there is an amazing dry shampoo made for dark hair but it was $15 and I'm cheap. I also tried making my own version using cocoa powder and baby powder via a Pinterest recipe but it was a disaster.
