Wintry Weather

Hallelujah the kids are back in school!!!!  Hahaha.  Today was the first day back after an entire WEEK of snow/cold days.  I'm not sure how the kids were feeling about it, but I was ECSTATIC.  And even though it was still really cold today, at least the sun was out and shining and there's always the hope this time of year that Spring is just around the corner.  :)

Saturday on the other hand was an absolute winter wonderland.  It dumped non-stop snow for pretty much the entire day, and I have to say that it was quite lovely.  My general philosophy with winter is that if it's gonna be cold -- it might as well snow!  Because at least then the world looks so pretty all blanketed in its wintry whiteness.  The kids had fun playing in the snow, making snowmen, and attempting to sled and towards the end of the day we also tried our hand at some snow ice cream.  It was pretty good for what it was, but it certainly didn't compare to actual ice cream.  No one was complaining, though, so it was good enough for us! 

Jane and I built another snowman together.  :)

As fun as it all was, I'm REALLY hoping that Spring really IS just around the corner.  :)
