Early March 1997
Eighteen years ago, my baby brother entered the scene. Born 3 days before my 17th birthday, this little caboose completed our family. I'll never forget that day. It was my junior year of high school, and I remember traipsing down to the pay phone in the front hall lobby SEVERAL times throughout the day in order to page my dad and find out if the baby had been born yet. Adding to the excitement was the question of whether we'd be having a 6th girl join the family or if Freddie would FINALLY be getting the little brother he had always wanted. :)
Jacob is the best baby brother anyone could ask for. I am so proud of the young man he is turning out to be. He is intelligent, kind, sensitive, caring, and strong. I know he will do great things.
