Epic Mom Fail

I am so, so sun burnt! We couldn't find the sunscreen this afternoon and in a moment of true stupidity, I figured we were only going to be at the pool for an hour anyway, so I let my laziness win out and we all lost. :(

Because what ended up happening was that we actually stayed for TWO hours during the hottest part of the day, and my back now has the lobster red hue to prove it! Thankfully, the kids were mostly in the water and only have some rosy cheeks as casualties, but still!  Epic, epic mom fail for my little white beans from the city. Lover Boy spent half the time at the pool on the sidelines putting his brand new super hero shirt and superman socks back on because he couldn't bear the separation, so that probably saved his precious little skin from having the same fate as mine!

So, just as a PSA -- wear sunscreen! It looks like we won't be going swimming for a few days here.  :(

{He couldn't bear the separation at bedtime, either. Alex and his superheroes are here to party, people. Hahaha.}
