April Showers?

This weather is seriously schizo.  On Sunday the temperature was in the 80's, and this morning we woke up to snow.  Booooo!!!!  Flowers were just starting to bloom on the trees and bushes in our yard and I'm hoping that our brief little freezing spell here won't kill everything off.  Luckily, all the flowers I bought and planted on Saturday were in pots that I was able to pull into the garage last night, but still.  When is winter going to be gone for good???  I feel like the elements are conspiring against me!

My poor petunias.  I hope they survive until the sun comes back out.

Aside from the snow this morning, the other major thing I woke up to today was a majorly epic mom fail.  Wah Wah.  Apparently I forgot to check on Lover Boy before going to sleep last night and I also totally forgot that he had insisted I turn on his overhead fan when I put him to bed.  The result?  Super boy froze all night long thanks to a combo of the fan, the weather turning colder, AND the fact that he had stripped down to his diaper/superhero undies combo as he is wont to do these days.  Poor little guy!!! I don't know how well {or not well} he slept due to all of that, but my guess is that it wasn't super restful considering the following picture is what I saw when I turned around while making breakfast this morning.  I think he actually fell asleep for a split second there.

After getting everyone off to school, the rest of the day was business as usual but with an extra early nap for Lover Boy and the added bonus of an Art Show to attend in the evening for Jane's preschool.  She was sooooo excited for all of us to go.  It was adorable.  And hilarious.  All rolled into one.

{For some reason she thought she needed to curtsy for her picture.  Hahaha}

 Good to see those preschool tuition dollars going to good use.  Hahaha.

 All in all, it was just another day in paradise.  :)  I'm living the dream here people.  Living the dream!  Stay tuned for some new tweaks coming to our Family Economy/checklist sheets for the kids -- we've finally decided to remove the Kitchen from the zone rotation {because it NEVER gets done} and I'm hoping it shakes things up!  Until next time...
