Dress Rehearsal

Aaaaahhhh!  After SO much more running around today to get everything finalized and in order for our family pictures today, we totally ran out of time.  It didn't help matters that Alex never got a nap today -- thanks to those crazy, all-over-the-place errands -- and he was even naughtier than usual by evening's end.  Combine all that with the fact the the sky has been brewing a storm all day long, with the light never being super bright anyway, and by 6:30 (when I wanted to take the picture) it was way to gloomy outside to get a decent shot.  I decided to go the practical route rather than the frantically crazy one, and told everyone we'd push back our photo shoot to another day.  {Perhaps even tomorrow, if I can get everyone on board.  :) }

I coerced all the kids into trying on their outfits for a trial run by telling them they couldn't have movie night if they didn't humor me.  Thankfully that did the trick!  Hahaha.  Seeing everyone all put together {and smiling semi-happily} was a lovely little ending to an otherwise crazy day.  :)

Unfortunately, tomorrow might be EVEN crazier.  All 5 kids have dentist appointments first thing in the morning, the kids' school fest and 5K is in the afternoon, and we need to get the house cleaned at SOME point so it will be ready on Sunday morning for our traditional Conference Breakfast with friends!  Not to mention, I would like to actually be able to enjoy the Saturday sessions of Conference at some point tomorrow as well.  It's a good thing I'd rather be busy than bored!  Hahahaha.
