Settling In

Nothing super noteworthy has been happening lately, but I've got all kinds of pictures taking up space on my phone, so I figured it's time to unload them all and post a brief update.  ;)
  • We've had fun exploring our surroundings.
 Ward play group fun.

 Cliff jumping with friends.

Finding new places for treats.  :)

  • Ethan has put together lots of stuff for us.

Scott picked out a fire pit for his 10 Year Gift from the company.

New beds for the Tweedlearium!
  • I've done some more painting.
SO MUCH TRIM NEEDS TO BE PAINTED IN THIS HOUSE.  It's going to take forever!

Ethan and Grace/Sophie's rooms are now "Gray Owl" by Benjamin Moore.  (The shade on the right.  I haven't gotten around to taking finished pictures yet.) (The shade on the left is Gray Cashmere.  Also by Benjamin Moore, in case you were wondering.)

  • A few unnecessary arts and crafts projects have been done.

I pried the kids away from screens for the afternoon by bringing out the banner paper I bought yesterday and tracing everyone's outline.

They all had a lot of fun.  :)

  • We experienced the most awesome Summer Reading Program kick-off EVER at the Public Library.

 Libraries TOTALLY rock!!!

There were ceramics demonstrations, balloons, bounce houses, free food, and more!

CPR lessons were the surprising big draw for Alex.  And Isaac.  Hahaha.

  • There have been several trips to various stores to procure things (both necessary and super not necessary) for the new house.

The Tweedlearium now has bedding to go along with those new beds.
  • And finally, summer is in full swing, which means that trips to Target now include all the kids and cost 6 times as much.
Jane may or may not wake up in the morning with a black eye. thanks to an unfortunate run-in with a shelf at Target.

Apparently Isaac was chasing her down an aisle and she tripped and fell. And then he ran for the hills.  And then I was left trying to track down a missing toddler, while also trying to comfort an injured child,  while at the same time stopping Alex from wandering over to the Mario clothing section of the store.  So, yes -- I'm sure everyone hates us when we're out in public.  (And in case you're wondering how everything turned out:  Grace found Isaac, the Guest Service desk had an ice pack for Jane's eye, and I caved and let Alex pick out a giant stuffed Mario for his new bed.)

The tweedle beds are so chic!

I'm impressed at you ambition at tackling all the trim. It's going to look fab. I'm sitting and eating crackers bc I have zero energy hashtag summer.
