Happy Campers

Right now I've got 5 happy campers.  Seven if you count me and Scott.  Hahaha.  After having Hannah and Jonah at our house for the last couple of days, Scott drove the kids to our meet-up spot this evening to swap them back and send Ethan, Grace, Sophie, Jane, and Alex over to the cousins' house until Tuesday when Scott, Isaac, and I will head over for the 4th of July and then bring them all back home!  While the kids are ecstatic to be with their cousins, I'm pretty sure I'm MORE ecstatic about not having to break up any more fights or police any more electronics-usages over the next few days.  Haha.

A recap of the cousin swap festivities that happened HERE will be forthcoming.  For now, I'll close out the month of June with the few camp pictures I have from Ethan and Grace's experiences last week.  Having both of them gone for the same week was a bit weird.  You would think that 4 kids would be easier to take care of than 6, but when it's the 2 built-in babysitters who are gone, it's a different story.  Hahaha.  In all seriousness, though, I did have a bit of a moment on Saturday when I broke down crying to Scott that we only have 4 more years before Ethan graduates and then every two years after that another kid will be leaving the house and things will never be the same!!!

But that's all in the future.  For now, I'll leave you with some pictures from last week's happy campers.  They both had a blast, and I'm so grateful to the leaders who sacrificed their time and talents to make things happen!

The High Adventure crew before their 50 mile canoe trip, in which Ethan apparently subsisted on granola bars and two different occasions of Ramen.

Grace and her fellow First Year, Halle.

And they're off!

Yay for cousin get togethers. That has been the single hardest thing about moving away from Florida. Our kids really really miss Heidi's kids.

I think Grace's hair is so cute in those braids!!
