Woman of the Year

That's me!  Apparently.  Hahahaha.  I went up to bed Saturday night to find the following "People Weekly" magazine article on my pillow courtesy of Sophie.

This week's issue is focused on Mother's Day!  Recently, Scott wrote about his wife, Jessica's life, but in Hamilton form.  He wrote songs of Jessica's life to the tune of Hamilton.  He showed his love, didn't he?  Well, People magazine wants to honor mothers all around the world.  So we are going to honor a mother each year.  This year is focused on Jessica, mother of six, sibling of six.  We interviewed her children, and these are the results.  Ethan says, "She's a shanktastic mom!"  Grace says, "She's the bomb.com!"  Sophie says, "She's BAE, (AKA Before Anyone Else)."  Jane says, "She's my BFF!"  Alex says, "I love her!"  Isaac says, "Badabada!"  Isn't it incredible how much love goes around?!  Next week's issue is on T-Swizzle!  STICK AROUND!!!!!!!!

Reading her article made me laugh out loud, especially when I asked her about the quotes the next morning, and she confessed that she made them all up herself -- she didn't actually talk to any of the other kids for their input, yet nailed the essence of each character.  Hahahaha.

Other highlights of my Mother's Day include making everyone watch "Summer Magic" with me and Ethan's insistence on snagging the giant TV that had been put out on the curb across the street from our house.  He's been begging me since Spring Break to get another monitor to aid in his video making endeavors, but I've shut it down each time he's asked because it is NOT an actual need.  And I don't even really understand what he needs it for.  Well, his day was completely made when he spotted that screen as we got home from church.  He convinced Grace to help him drag it across the street and into our house and then up the stairs into the hallway, where they promptly set up camp to make Part 2 of Jane's illness/medication advertisements.  {The first one was about "back pain," this next one is about "ebola."}  Those kids.  

And that was my day!  The countdown is SO on for the end of school -- only two more weeks!  I'll have plenty of end of year stuff to catch up on over the next several days.  So stay tuned!
