Isaac is 1 1/2! It's so hard to believe that 18 months have already flown by since he joined our family. I attempted to snap some pictures this evening to document his big day -- and to document the hair before his first cut. Hahaha. I've been telling the kids for weeks now that I would finally give him a haircut once he turned 18 months old. As soon as they got off the bus, I had the girls running up to me, with Sophie begging, "Please don't cut his curls!" and Grace yelling, "You have to cut his hair!" Luckily for Sophie, I was still trying to get some pictures for Isaac's "before" and she was able to enjoy the curls for a few more hours.
Once dinner was over, however, I brought him up to my bathroom, wet his hair down, and went to work. It was almost impossible to get him to stay still, but a bag of chocolate chips helped to do the trick while my little sheep was being shorn. Now that the hair is cut, he's a brand new man! Hahaha. The nice thing about hair, though, is that it grows back. So, hopefully by the time Halloween rolls around, he'll have another full head of crazy hair so we can throw a black turtleneck on him and have him dress up as Art Garfunkel. Hahahaha.
I'll have to try and get better pictures with the real camera later on, but for tonight, I'll close with a smorgasbord of pictures and fun facts about our favorite little toddler. :)

- The kid is non-stop. He legitimately doesn't know the meaning of chill.

- He's starting to come around on baths. Hahaha.

- His newest word added to the repertoire {just today} is "uh-oh!"
- He can also say "mama" or "maaaa" as he's more prone to say; "baba" for bottle; a pretty close approximation of "shoes;" and a screaming sound for "kids!" Hahaha.
- Any door opening he sees, he makes a run for it!

- Every now and then, he'll sit still long enough for me to read to him. But it usually doesn't last for very long.

{I did some gardening today and these colors are sparking joy!}

- He still loves his pluggie and his lion.

- Sleep is still not his fave.

{Unrelated to Isaac, but I'm just in love with these poppies.}

- The Backyardigans has his whole heart. :)

{That ringlet has MY whole heart.}

- He's kind of a picky eater. He will NOT try pretty much any fruits or vegetables, but he really loves meat.

- He LOVES music. And dancing. :)

{Our cute little next door neighbor is only 5 days younger than Isaac. They were giving each other hugs in the front yard today and it was pretty much the cutest thing ever.}

- And finally, I'm his favorite person in the world. ;)
{Now for the hair-cutting pictures...}
Hahahahahahaha.
Check out how long that was!
The "After."
I'll have to trick him into posing for me tomorrow, so I can get a front shot, too. :)

{A little lagniappe -- just picture Isaac as this for Halloween. It's perfect, right??? Hahahaha.}
