Oops She Did It Again

 Oh Jane!

Well, folks -- we're right back to where we were a couple of months ago.  Maybe not EXACTLY where we were, but it's still rat's nest city.  I tried taking her into SuperCuts last night, but it was 7:20, the hair stylist informed me they closed at 8, and there were 3 people ahead of us.  And it would be REALLY expensive to have them work on her hair because they charge by the hair-cutting-time-slot.  And since last time I had to detangle that rat's nest it took almost 3 hours, I didn't think a child's haircut was worth spending hundreds of dollars on.  Hahaha.

The hair stylist then gave me the tip of a lifetime.  "Dunk her hair in a bunch of olive oil, and work the tangles out."  Huh?  Hahahaha.  But you know what?  Desperate times call for desperate measures.  And it worked!!!!  As soon as we got back home, I doused her head with oil and spent the next 40 minutes tediously working the tangles out with my fingers.  It took two shampoos and a deep conditioning to get all the oil out, but the rat's nest was gone and will hopefully never be back!!!  Because today, as soon as she got home from school, we headed back to SuperCuts to chop her hair as short as possible without actually being a pixie cut.  So an adorable little bob it was!

Grace decided her hair could use a trim as well, and since her 6th Grade Recognition was tonight, I convinced her that a nice blowout would be the perfect thing to help make her promise to wear her hair down for the event actually come to pass.  We left the "salon" with two happy campers and a super happy mom.  :)

It seriously took like 30 minutes for the hair stylist to finish blowing dry her hair.  It's SOOO thick!

Bam!  Ready to graduate!

Obviously, I still have that graduation to recap, but that will have to wait until tomorrow night.  ;)  Alex's Kindergarten Sing is tomorrow afternoon and there are only two more days left of school!
