I convinced the Tweedles to come with me to my favorite place on earth -- my old running trail -- to snap some pictures with the help of Uncle Dodo. The weather was perfect, the lighting was perfect, and the kids were almost perfectly cooperative. The good thing about the trail is there are so many different locations around it that are perfect for a photo shoot!
The river was our final destination for pictures, and it was just gorgeous. Alex and Jane were in heaven. Alex kept happily exclaiming, "I can't stop throwing rocks!!" And Jane, meanwhile, couldn't stop wading in the river. She was awfully excited that she was wearing her Saltwater Sandals.

In fact, being at the trail was SO much fun, that the other kids felt left out and wanted to go, too. And since yesterday was a teacher in-service day, with no school for the older kids, we made the magic happen again. They spent a happy half hour or so, playing in the river and having a grand old time. It's hard to believe we're experiencing 70 degree temperatures in November! It won't last much longer, but while it does, we will take it. :)
