And Then There's Alex!

So let's just say that Alex has not quite gotten the posing down that Jane has.  Hahahaha.  And that's an understatement.  The majority of the shots I got out of Alex the other day were either not looking directly at the camera, or  goofing around with his tongue out, or squinching up his face in an exaggerated smile.  "The zombie" was another popular go-to move of his for the photo shoot.  Haha.  That kid.  What can I say?  He's a hilarious little nut job and I love him.  :)

 "The Zombie"

 (Zombie)

Even though he wasn't ultra cooperative in the posing or holding still department, he sure did have a good time down at the trail.  When he's not being a grumpy old man, he certainly is a happy-go-lucky little delight.  I just love that little face of his and could eat him up.  :)

 I love those crazy eyebrows of his.  The one on the right (his left eyebrow) has been like that since he was born.  It has a cowlick of its own, and has always stuck straight up.  He busted (and scarred) the other eyebrow last Christmas at the cousins' house, and as a result has balanced out the craziness.  Hahaha.  :)

 I tried all KINDS of strategies to get him to look right at the camera and smile, and none of them were super successful.  For this shot, I tried to convince him that there was a birdie in the camera and to look right at it to find it.  He was rather confused.  As was Jane.  Hahaha.  She wandered over while I was trying to convince him and couldn't figure out what I was talking about, either.  :)

 Still can't find the birdie.

 I love how you can see his shoes on the wrong feet here.  They are on the wrong feet 98% of the time, so I like how this has been captured for the record's sake.  Haha.

Once we got down to the river, Alex was in heaven.  It was so hilarious to hear him happily exclaim over and over again, "I can't stop throwing rocks!!"  And he really couldn't.  It was almost impossible to get him to take any more pictures for me at this point.  Luckily, I think I managed to get at least a couple of good options for his "official" birthday picture for the year.  And that's all that really matters, right?

 "I can't stop throwing rocks!"

 Squinched up face AND looking away from the camera!  {This is what was going on in 85% of the pictures that I snapped of him that day.}

 And here we've got squinched up face, looking away from the camera, AND tongue hanging out!  Hahaha.   Not to mention he STILL couldn't stop throwing those rocks.  :)

It's hard to believe Alex is already 4.  All of a sudden it's like he's a big kid now!  And I know he's just going to seem even BIGGER once the baby is here.  He's going to be a good big brother...  :)
