Lost Teeth

Jane, Jane, Jane.  Our lovely little moonbeam  is 0 for 3!  As in, she has not ONCE had a tooth to put under her pillow at night after losing it at some point in the day.  Hahaha.  Today was just deja vu.  She FINALLY lost her top front tooth this morning before school, and then promptly lost it.  Or maybe not SO promptly.  But she certainly didn't have it at bedtime tonight.  Which caused a minor meltdown from our already overly tired 6 year old.  Poor little thing, when I reminded her that I had told her to put it in a safe spot this morning, she replied that she DID put it in a safe spot, but she just couldn't remember where that was.  :(  All was made well when I told her we could leave the Tooth Fairy a note, however, and now she's sleeping soundly.

And to close, it looks like Jane was perhaps paying attention at the doctor's office yesterday during her 6 year check up.  She must have overheard me talking to the doctor about our issues with staying on task in the morning and how easily distracted she is, and the doctor's response that a checklist of sorts might be helpful, because she created the following chart tonight, without any help or input from Scott or myself.  How adorable is THAT?  Hahahaha.  Now if only it will actually help her to get a move on in the mornings...   :)
