I had a hard time finding the right place for the preschool performance, so I was a little late this morning and slipped in only right before the toddler class was about to sing. I could tell that Isaac didn't know I was there, so it made for an even more interesting sight as I watched him "sing" and perform in the wild -- in a sort of fly-on-the-wall viewing. Haha. I couldn't tell if he was actually singing in any of the 3 songs they performed, but he certainly had the hand motions down. Not to mention, he really went to town when musical sticks were handed out to keep time with the final song (and maybe to sound like a donkey clip clopping along?) -- perhaps we have a future percussionist on our hands. Hahaha.
(This was right when he noticed me in the crowd. Hahaha.)
After the performance was over, everyone went over to the fellowship hall for a "Happy Birthday, Jesus!" party. The most hilarious/adorable part of the whole morning was when we first entered the hall and got our cake and punch and Isaac asked rather confusedly, "where's Jesus?" Hahaha. Bless his little heart. I think all the talk about having a birthday party for Jesus got his hopes up that he'd be meeting the King of Kings this morning. Thankfully, he accepted my response that He was up in heaven right now without any protest and he happily went on to finish up his cake and punch. He was also super stoked for his Christmas present of a Bible storybook from the preschool at the party.
All in all, it was a delightful today and Sophie's performance tomorrow night should be just as delightful! :)
