Lights, Camera, Action!

What is it about Christmas lights that is just so magical??  On Saturday evening, Ethan suggested we go and see some lights -- and since I've been wanting to go as a family for a couple of weeks now, I happily acquiesced to his request.  While he finished up the last of his homework, the rest of us went to check out the lights set up around the town square before swinging back home and picking Ethan up for the lights extravaganza set up outside a house in town.  It was totally epic, and we all loved it!

Even though it was pretty chilly outside, there were hardly any complaints as everyone oohed and aahed over the lights all around us.  Isaac in particular was so enamored, that all he could say for the first few minutes at the square was, "Oh my gosh!" over and over again.  Hahaha.  Sophie and Grace were enamored with taking as many pictures as possible, and Jane was mostly just upset that we wouldn't buy her anything from the vendors that were set up outside.

After a quick drop off of our gifted traveling Santa to a new family, we went back to get Ethan and then set forth on the adventure of a lifetime!  Hahaha.  J/K.  That's a bit more melodramatic than the outing actually was.  But rest assured that it was truly magnificent and everyone had a blast.  Well, everyone except Jane, once again, who had a bit of a meltdown when we refused to pay for a camel ride while strolling through the Christmas Lights that were on display.  If you've ever watched The Great Christmas Light Fight on TV, then you can envision a little bit what our experience was like, because this Family's display was featured on the show at some point in the last few years.

We enjoyed a lovely yet freezing "train ride" before heading home and snapped some pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus on the way out.  It was a truly magical evening and one of the funnest family outings of this Christmas season.  :)

Looks amazing. Pretty pictures. We had a neighbor like that in Jacksonville, and he added something to it every single year. It took him a month to set up and a month to take down. Amazing.
