Christmas 2018: A Photo Essay

I fully recognize that looking through hundreds of pictures of someone else's Christmas morning is kind of lame, but this is mostly for my kids. ;)  So, prepare yourself for an onslaught of tedious, play-by-play scenes of our Christmas Day unfolding.  To try and keep things entertaining, I'll be handing out Family Superlative Awards as we go...

 Ethan -- Least Happy to Be Woken Up Early on Christmas Morning By Little Kids
{Not pictured:  Me and Scott -- Least Happy to Be Woken Up at 2:30 in the Morning By Little Kids Who Are Too Excited to Go Back to Sleep }

 Alex -- First One Down the Stairs (and apparently the first one to peek down the stairs in the middle of the night to see if Santa had come yet.)

 Plasma Cars -- Sleeper Hits of the Season

  Jane -- Most Excited About a New Bike Ever

 Plaid Ribbon -- My Favorite Ribbon This Christmas

 Alex -- Most Obsessed With Pokemon

 Vocabulary Builder -- My Personal Favorite Gift of the Morning

 Isaac -- Cutest Little Face Ever

 Sophie -- Most Polite When Realizing that the Gift She REALLY Wanted (Birkenstock sandals) Didn't Fit

 Ethan -- BEST Reaction While Opening a Present

 Piano Room -- Best Chaotic Explosion of Color and Commotion

Most Hilarious Quote Read On Christmas Day (while lounging in the colorful Piano Room) -- "Savage nations, uneducated people, and children have a great predilection for vivid colors."  --Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (from The Secret Lives of Colors).

 Isaac -- Cutest to Watch Opening Presents and Then Playing With Them

Grace -- Most Pleased With Her Gifts
