I'm so tired.  I feel like if my brain were at 100% functioning capacity right now, I could whip up a super entertaining outline, in no time flat, of what this crazy day was like, but for tonight, that might be asking too much.

Major bullet points include:

* Alex up all night last night with a toothache; Scott taking one for the team and staying with him until 5 AM, when I took over and he eventually fell asleep.

*  Me driving Ethan -- TWO HOUSES UP THE STREET -- to the bus stop (in order to give Scott more time to sleep) because it was "too cold" outside at 6:25 in the morning.

 Seriously?  "Too cold?"  Also, seriously?  I look this good first thing in the morning?  Hahahaha.

Seriously?

To be fair -- Scott usually drives him every morning (even though it's literally 2 houses up the street) only because he's on his way to work anyway.  And also to be fair, it has been pretty chilly in the morning this week, and he was probably expecting it to be the same this morning.

* The girls getting ready extra cooperatively this morning (because of picture day), and Grace whispering to me right before they left for the bus, "You know what I think of when I look at Sophie? A widow," with regards to Sophie's brand new, all black outfit she bought at Target last night with her summer reading money.

* Isaac's nap schedule getting TOTALLY messed up in the morning because of squeezing in an emergency trip to the dentist for Alex; Shoo Shoo fell asleep in my arms for like 30 minutes this morning, while Alex was still catching up on his night's lack of sleep.

*  Alex FREAKING OUT at the dentist, as they tried to pull the tooth that kept him up all night long -- complete with sobbing, flailing, borderline hyperventilation, and hysteria, in which not even a "deal" of Dunkin' Donuts afterwards plus a trip to Game Stop could get him to calm down and let the dentist do his job.  Which means that now I get to take him to a pediatric dentist tomorrow and go through the whole thing all over again!

Before the trauma began.

*  And finally, Ethan's request/demand that the whole family show up for his final cross country meet of his junior high career, found us trucking across town at the end of the day, where the kids enjoyed running around and playing, before Scott carted the older three over to the church for activity night, and I brought the younger three home to get them in bed so I could finally end this day.  ;

 Coolest swing invention ever.

And that was my day.  Can't wait for tomorrow!  ;)  Hahahaha.

That is the best baby swing I've ever seen.

And that sounds like a very long day. I hope Alex lets you both sleep tonight!
