Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs

I have barely survived the week!  Scott left Monday morning for a recruiting trip to BYU, and just got back last night around midnight.  After being pulled in 6 different directions, on my own, for the first 3 days of the week, I am officially cuckoo for cocoa puffs.  Even though we started off with a bang (or rather a diaper blowout) Monday morning, I would say that Day 1 still went smoother than any of the others, despite having to run over to Ethan's cross country meet that evening with the baby in tow, putting dinner and bedtime late for all the little ones.  Thankfully, bedtime THAT night went off without too much of a hitch.  Unfortunately, it was the only night.  Days two and three descended into chaos and madness, with more shuffling of kids to and fro, lots of fighting and freaking out, meltdowns from both kids and mom, and a whole lot of screen time.  There were a few shining moments of joy, such as a lovely visit from one of my college besties on Wednesday afternoon, but there were more storm clouds than sun as the children swiftly and surely whittled down my sanity until even tonight -- with Scott finally home -- there is but a shred left, thanks to the hijacking of the evening by a couple of kids who REALLY shouldn't have been the ones causing problems.  And I'll just leave it at that.  ;)  Here's to hoping the sun will come out tomorrow!
