The second day of school was almost as exciting as the first! Everyone was up on time, everyone made lunches and ate breakfast, and everyone made it to the bus without any hiccups. A successful day indeed. And then when you throw in the fact that I had time this afternoon to finish the mountain of school paperwork for all four kids PLUS finish off the Tuesdays in my big book of crossword puzzles -- well, that my friends, is called livin' the dream! Hahahaha.
Our "Daily Schedule." I'm hoping that by having it posted somewhere visible, they'll be more likely to actually accept it and follow it. A girl can always dream, right? Haha.
Another poster that has actually been quite helpful in getting the kids to pack an actual, real lunch each day. None of them are very good about getting in the veggies, but we're making huge progress from last year, so I'll take it.
All in all, I'm cautiously optimistic that this year is off to a good start! Granted we haven't even finished the first week, but I can already see the difference it makes for the kids to be back in a structured routine. And it's a GOOD thing. :)

I'm pretty impressed. Our transition to school has not been as smooth. And I was crazy enough to accept two days of subbing, so not only do I have to get 2 kids ready for school, but H and I also have to be ready to go, and earlier than normal. Figure we might as well be fully immersed in the school world from the start.
I'm a little jealous. Our elementary bus comes at 7. I like the idea of posting on cupboards. I'm always looking for a spot my kids will notice. ;)
I like the lunch choice. Great ideas here! Keep up the good work little mama.
I love the schedule. Being clear cut is what i really need to a better job doing.
