The top accomplishment of my day today was getting all my fabric bundles ready to be put in the mail for my quilting bee! I had been waiting for the last couple of weeks for Sophie's background choice to arrive in the mail, and yesterday it finally came -- 3 yards of Kona "Blue Jay" ready to be divided up.
"Wonky Star" pattern found here.
Apparently I like to create Quilting Bees to help me make baptism quilts for my children, because this time around it's Sophie's turn! Hahaha. Even though she won't be turning 8 until February, I figured I might as well get a jump start on making her quilt while I have my Bee members to help me. :) As I mentioned before, I let Sophie pick out her favorite color for the background {that would be the Blue Jay}, and then I pulled a varied assortment of colors, prints, and patterns to send out for the stars. I'm really excited for how this will turn out! All the colors and fabric prints are SO Sophie. Haha.
Fabric bundles divvied out and ready to be put in an envelope.

My cute little helper wanted to stuff the packages for me. :)

Holding up the sample block.
I can't wait to see what everyone makes! Quilting Bees are so much fun. :)
