Grace and Sophie really wanted to knock things out of the park for us, though, so they went all out to add some flair to our evening at home. They've been talking all week about making a cake for us and I have to say, they're really good at the whole decorating thing! (Both with cakes AND party decorations.) After making the cake, they set up a table for two in our kitchen, complete with roses (from our garden) and some other thrown together centerpiece items, along with a picture bunting strung across the kitchen window. It was really quite sweet.
They didn't go so far as volunteering to make us a special meal, but I was totally fine with ordering take-out for me and Scott and pizza for the kids. All in all, it was a lovely way to end the day.
And now, to close things out on this 18th Anniversary post, I'll leave you with a favorite memory from each of our 18 years of marriage:
2002 -- Our wedding, obvis
2003 -- Halloween with baby Ethan as a pumpkin
2004 -- Christmas with a brand-new baby (Grace)

JESSSSSSSSS i LOOOOOOVED the photo of each year!!!!!!!!!! Loved going down memory lane of the highs of each year, i know there's lots more than just 1 super memory a year, but the ones you presented really captured more than just one specific moment. I love you AND your family. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxooxoxoxox
I was scrolling through this on my couch while my kids watch Little Einsteins, and my girls happened to glance over while I was looking at the picture of baby Jane, and both girls flipped out over the cute baby on the computer. Even though she's not a baby anymore. I tried to explain, but whatever. You take amazing photos.
