Birthday Portraits -- Several Months Late

This is where I should be inserting the monkey-covering-its-eyes emoji.  Hahahaha.  I don't really have a valid excuse.  {Except for maybe the fact that I knew it would be a monumental task to convince Alex to dress in what I wanted him to wear and then pose for a photo shoot.}  I just didn't get around to taking Alex's 8 year old birthday pictures last August prior to his baptism and then time just kind of slipped by.  A few Sundays ago, however, I was able to convince him (i.e. I bribed him) to humor my need for a picture of him before he turns 9.

Fun Fact: In the past year, Alex has been diagnosed with ADHD,  SPD (sensory processing disorder), anxiety, and (if quarantine ever ends) he is also going to be evaluated for dysgraphia -- a type of learning disorder that interferes with written expression (it's kind of like dyslexia but with writing instead of reading)

Fun Fact:  Alex really likes history and museums (his Papi would be so proud 😊)

I think I made things rather painless for him, and after my promised 10 minutes were up, I let him skedaddle on in and change out of his much-protested church clothes.  Lucky for me, I got some good shots before he was dunzo.  As an added bit of lagniappe, I got a photo shoot out of Isaac as well!  When he saw Alex getting dressed up and posing for me, he wanted to get in on the action, too.  And since I never took his 4 year old pictures back in November, I was happy to check another kid off the list.  Now I just need to catch up on Grace, Sophie, and Jane before they each turn another year older!  Hahahaha.

Fun Fact:  Isaac is a sleep terrorist (meaning he ends up in our bed most nights, disturbs my slumber,  and somehow manages to take up far more than his share of the space)

Fun Fact:  When I was pregnant with Isaac, I pictured him as a sneaky little trickster who was always laughing -- it must have been a premonition 😂

Fun Fact:  Isaac loves his "crazy" hair and doesn't like me cutting it -- lucky for him, I also love his crazy hair and don't like cutting it

Fun Fact:  Isaac says he's copying a picture of Ethan with this pose, but I have no idea what he's talking about
