Meltdown no. 401
After Jake's graduation that Saturday, we all went to eat at a Japanese tepanyaki style restaurant, and Alex was on a completely new level of meltdown-ness. It would have been comical if it hadn't been so hard to manage. It didn't help matters that he was really hungry and all he really wanted was chicken nuggets and french fries -- which was certainly not on the menu. And then, when he spilled his soup all over the table, himself, and the floor, you would have thought the world was ending. Meanwhile for Jane, once the show started and the food started rolling in, you would have thought she'd died and gone to heaven! Haha. Every single thing she ate was a hit {minus a mushroom}. She seriously was loving {and commenting on how much she was loving} everything that came her way -- from the salad {and dressing}, to the soup, and the fried rice, veggies, and chicken. She was a fan.

Because our trip was so short -- we were just there for the weekend -- we decided to extend the fun for the kids and embarked on our cousin swap for the summer earlier than we were planning. Because Hannah had basketball camp for a couple of hours each day last week, we left Grace and Sophie at their house, while we took Jonah home to ours when we left last Sunday night. What followed was 4 full days of freebie fun. :)
The girls had a blast with Hannah {living quite the teenage lifestyle of partying til late and sleeping in until noon :) }, and Jonah and Ethan video-gamed and tv-watched to their hearts' content.

That restaurant looks amazing. Did Sophie get marker on her eye or is it a bruise? Your summer has been a blast in the few short weeks since the beginning. Hope the rest is as fun!
