Jane had the best day ever! {Minus some allergy issues.} Today was the big Kindergarten Field Trip to the farm, and she's been looking forward to this and counting down the days FOREVER. Meanwhile, her allergies have been acting up like CRAZY this week, and I've been praying every night that she'd be able to actually go! She's never been hit by seasonal allergies this bad before -- usually it's just Ethan and Scott who suffer -- but the past couple of weeks her asthma has been flaring up and her eyes have been watery and itchy and her eczema has been out of control. And since their field trip destination was to a farm, I was a little concerned that things would get even worse!
Nevertheless, she got prepped and ready last night by laying out her clothes and picking out a lunchable to pack for her lunch, and then went right to sleep. :) She was SOOO excited. Adding to the excitement was the prospect of riding the bus to school in the MORNING! Oooohhhh. Hahahaha. Since she's afternoon Kindergarten, she's never gotten on the bus with the big kids in the morning, and she was absolutely thrilled. :) After dosing her up with some Zyrtec and Claritin this morning, they were off! Alex and I walked all the big kids to the bus stop and after snapping a couple of pics, we waved them off and said goodbye! {For the record, I don't think Alex liked being on his own for the whole day. Hahaha. All day long he kept saying it was time for me to go pick up the kids.}
Thankfully, Jane had a blast! My friend (and next door neighbor) chaperoned on the trip, and sent me a couple of pictures while they were there. :) And while Jane's allergies starting acting up again once she started petting all the animals and then rubbing her eyes -- it was still all worth it in her mind. When she got home from school, she couldn't wait to tell me all about milking a goat and the baby chick (that really loved her) that was sleeping on her shoulder. :)
All in all, it was a day for her to remember! It's hard to believe she's almost done being a Kindergartener. This year has gone by so fast.

So good to see her on this trip. It just put a smile on my face! Did all the others have field trips too?
