Ten Months Old

This little lump of sugar turned 10 months old on Saturday!  I can't believe it's been almost a year since he was born.  I've been undergoing a MASSIVE photo shuffling project for the last several days, and as I've been looking back over pictures from the past six years, my mind is blown with how fast the time goes and how quickly they all grow.

To celebrate Isaac's Ten Month-iversary, here are 10 tidbits about our sugar baby:

  1. He has a million nicknames.  Or at least half a dozen.  Hahaha.  Poor little lamb is going to be so confused about what name to answer to as he gets older.  On any given day, he's referred to as Shoo Shoo; sugar bear; sugar baby; Squeaker; Scooby dooby; scooby snack; Shushuganaw; shaba daba; Bubby; bubba; and only every now and then, Isaac.  :)
  2. He's got music in his soul!  He LOVES hearing music and will wave his arms in time, like a conductor. Whenever Ethan is banging away at the piano, he will make his way over and try to play, too.
  3. When he's tired, he starts "singing" himself to sleep.
  4. He has discovered the toilet and we have to make sure the seat is closed at all times, or he will find out and try to play in the water.  {Ewwwwwwww}
  5. The stairs are no big deal for this little climber.  Now that he's mastered going up, I'm trying my hardest to teach him how to go back down.  It's a work in progress.
  6. He's getting really good with his balance and standing skills!  And the kids LOVE it.  :)
  7. He is tentatively taking some baby steps, and I predict he'll be walking before the month is over!  He's been following Ethan's trajectory for developmental milestones since birth, and Ethan was an early walker at 10 months himself.
  8. One of his new favorite pastimes is "wrestling" with Alex.  It mostly involves crawling over to him, climbing on top of him, and clobbering him with slobber, but I think Alex mostly likes it.  Hahaha.
  9. He's now completely weaned to formula and has been enjoying the brave new world of "real food," too.
  10. I think he is officially down to one nap a day.  Most of my kids have been two-nap-a-day-ers until their first birthday at the least, but I guess Isaac is just advanced for his age.  Hahahahaha.  It actually works out better for our current daily life schedule, with the kids' school times, and running errands, and extra-curricular pick-up, etc. so I'll take it!

And that is that!  This little cutie sure sparks joy.  :)
