The only positive thing I can say about it, is that since Grace is home at least I have a built-in babysitter for when I need to run errands. Another silver lining? For some inexplicable reason, Isaac has decided that this is the week he's ready to work on potty-training -- and having him home has made that a little more possible. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Alex will be able to go back to school tomorrow, but Grace and Jane are definitely still out for the count. :( Let's hope everyone is better by the weekend! {And let's REALLY hope that I don't catch the flu, too.}
Isaac's preschool had a book character dress up day yesterday and he was so sad he had to miss it! He was so excited to dress up like "Peedie," one of the gosling characters from the books he loves by Olivier Dunrea.

I found his "lucky red baseball cap" at Hobby Lobby, along with the solid yellow t shirt to make him look like a gosling. After stitching together some orange foam sheets, Isaac was beyond excited to model his "costume." Hahaha.
(Thankfully, he was appeased when I told him that his teacher said he could wear his costume on whatever day he wants to when he comes back to school.)
{Unrelated, but here is the fruit of one of my errands today -- the library! I've decided that the new "talent/skill" I'm going to develop for my 40 Before 40 is learning how to garden/landscape. That way I can kill two birds with one stone, since another 40 Before 40 goal is to finish landscaping our yard. I also checked out some dog books just to keep things well rounded. Hahahaha.}
