Otherwise subtitled: Ethan and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad {Driving} Day.
For the record -- Ethan is actually a VERY good and responsible driver. Today was apparently just cursed. It started this morning with our drive to cross country practice, where he accidentally ran a red light, almost ran a stop sign, and backed into a tree branch; and ended this evening with a sickening crunch of the side mirror as he backed out of our parking spot at Sonic and rammed into the menu board on the passenger side because he was just a little too close.
Poor kid was about to have an aneurysm while hyperventilating after the last accident (made no less embarrassing by the fact that all the kids plus a friend of his were in the car as well), but I managed to calm him down and let him know that it was okay. Stuff is just stuff and people are more important. No one was injured today and that's all that matters to me. Here's to a better tomorrow! 😊

Tell Ethan that I’ve been driving for 20 years and I did the exact same thing at sonic a couple months ago. Ha ha Ha ha ha
I remember when I got in my first wreck, my dad told me it was good to get it over with because it was bound to happen at some point. It made me a safer driver.
I've busted my rearview mirror a time or two here because streets are so narrow and not everyone pulls in their own mirrors when they are parked on the streets.
