Guys. Last night was ROUGH. It's been a really long time since Isaac has woken up in the middle of the night and refused to go back to sleep, but last night he must have decided it was time to get back to it! Haha. He woke up some time around midnight -- screaming and crying and freaking out that he was scared -- and then the next 2+ hours were a nightmare, as I attempted to calm him down and help him fall asleep. Since he's his roommate, poor Alex got to participate in the experience as well when the Sugar Bear insisted on climbing into bed with him and then forced me to lay down next to him, too. And then -- since Isaac is HANDS DOWN the most restless-fall-asleeper EVER, he proceeded to flip and flop and toss and turn and kick at the wall and switch his orientation and climb on top of me and try to push me away (all while occasionally throwing in some weeping and wailing to try and convince me to just take him downstairs and let him watch a show), but I persevered, and he FINALLY fell asleep an eternity later! Only to be up for the day at 6:15. DOH! Hahahahaha. So that's how my day started. Needless to say, I'm kind of exhausted. However, as I picked Isaac up from preschool this afternoon, I feel as though my midnight efforts were rewarded tenfold thanks to this hiLARious packet of school pictures that was waiting for me when I got him. Hahahahahaha. That mugshot right there made my whole day. Hahahaha. Seriously. So funny. And so reminiscent of ALEX'S first preschool picture. Haha.

Oh Isaac. That kid is a hoot and a holler. You never would have guessed this morning that he had been up half the night. He was legitimately bouncing off walls the entire hour after the kids left before it was his turn to head to school. What goes up must eventually come down, though, and since this kid has officially given up naps, he was ready to crash extra early this evening. Let's just keep our fingers crossed that it doesn't result in another middle of the night party. And now, if you'll excuse me, I think I should head off to bed myself. ;)
One last parting shot to wish you a Merry Christmas. Hahahahahahahaha.
