Dreams Come True: Part 2

I know, I know, I know!  It's been forever and a day since I've blogged and I have pretty much ALL of July to catch up on.  Between my weekend in New Orleans and our EPIC road trip, though, I haven't had much spare time to do anything.  Except make all of Grace's dreams come true, that is.  Hahaha.

Meet the newest member of the family: Thumper.  I'm not sure if Grace has ever been this happy in her life {"soft" is her love language, she says -- and Thumper is a fluffy lump of soft}.  We spent almost an hour at the shelter this afternoon while she hemmed and hawed and went back and forth over which bunny was the one for her, before going back to the same one each and every time.  Thumper is an adult male English Lop according to his sign, and Grace is pretty much in love and she can't stop exclaiming how she can't believe I'm actually letting her get a pet.  Hahaha.  For the record -- I can't believe it either.  ;)  {Meanwhile, Sophie and Jane found a couple of kittens at the shelter that just might have made their way home with us, too, if it weren't for the fact that Scott is allergic to cats.  Womp womp.  Kittens are kind of the cutest.}

 {"CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR RABBIT ADOPTION!" -- Words I never thought I'd be reading out loud.  Hahahahaha.}

I suppose this experiment into pet ownership was a long time coming and probably inevitable, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Grace is old enough now to actually be the one completely in charge of this bunny!  Thankfully -- in her mind -- this was the best spent Summer Reading Challenge money of her life.  :)  Wish the rest of us luck.  Hahaha.

A card I literally never dreamed I'd own.

 He's pretty cute.   :)

 I'm not sure if Isaac has ever been quite this enamored of anything before.  He screamed himself to sleep tonight because I took him away from "playing" with the bunny.  I certainly hope the bunny will survive the Toddler Terror in this house.

{Stay tuned for some epic recaps coming your way...}

And PS you should farm out the blog updates for the roadtrip to the kids, and that way you can just work on the Nola weekend blog update.

Cute bunny! I'm excited to see how this goes because I'm the only person in my family who does not want a pet.
