So sick and so miserable.
By mid-morning -- with Isaac fussy beyond normal, still feeling hot, and looking miserable -- I realized that something had to be wrong. After a quick trip to the doctor, I discovered that something WAS wrong -- it turns out that the poor little lamb has an ear infection AND he's teething. The good news is that some antibiotics have made a world of difference in just one day. The bad news is that yesterday's nap from 7 AM - 9 AM was the only sleep he got, which means that my 8 AM - 9 AM nap was the only sleep I got. After a VERY long day -- Sophie had an allergist appointment after school and Ethan had a track meet -- I was thankful that Scott was able to take over for me when he got home after picking Ethan up. Once the little ones were in bed, I went to bed myself and slept for a glorious 10 1/2 hours. Apparently, Isaac was up from 8:30-11 (after I had put him down at 7), but thankfully, after that, he slept all night long! Which is the first time that has happened in a couple of weeks!
However, that's not even what tonight's blog post is about! Hahaha.
Tonight we're going to turn back time and recap the kids' elementary school art show from a couple of weeks ago. Way back before Spring Break, we spent a fun evening at the school, walking the halls and checking out all the artwork on display. I love seeing their creations and they love showing them off, so it's a win-win situation. :)
Ethan opted to stay home, but all the rest of us had a fun time checking everything out. An added bonus was finding out a few days later that Sophie and Grace have had some of their artwork chosen for display at the District Art Show this coming weekend! Hopefully, we'll be able to make that one a full family affair. ;)
Posing for a picture in the yearbook.
Look at those little artists. :)
And that is that! It's late and I'm still tired from yesterday, so I'll close with a picture of Isaac from today. This little stinker fell asleep 3 different times today while driving in the car but NEVER made the transfer to his crib for an actual nap. Which basically means he only got 3 different 10-15 minute cat naps today. This kid is insane, man! Here's to hoping he sleeps all night long. Hashtag fingers crossed.
Ethan snapped this for me while driving home after track practice.
