Almost a Birthday Boy

One year ago, RIGHT THIS VERY MINUTE, we were on our way to the hospital to have our baby boy!  It's crazy to think how fast the time has flown and how much he's grown and changed.  As Sophie said this morning -- it feels like he's ALWAYS been a part of our family!

 I couldn't resist snapping these pictures a couple of days ago when Isaac was trying to snuggle with Grace's giant stuffed panda.

Hahahaha.

We'll be celebrating his big day tomorrow and all that's left to do is make his cake {Ethan and Grace were adamant that we stick with our "traditional" first birthday fare of yellow cake with homemade chocolate buttercream frosting} and wrap up the last couple of presents.  With the kids having no school yesterday for Election Day, we seized the afternoon and went to Target for each of them to pick out their offering for the sugar baby.  They are all SUPER excited for him to rip into them tomorrow.  :)

Poor little lamb is all tuckered out!  I don't remember the last time he's fallen asleep in my arms while taking his bottle at bedtime.
