2 months

Isaac is 2 months old!  And as I've waxed nostalgic about the passing of time, I've taken a trip down memory lane to see what was happening when the OTHER kids were turning 2 months old.  And boy am I worried I'm going to jinx myself by saying this, but life is a LOT easier right now then it seemed back then!  Hahaha.  Maybe it's the whole relativity thing here, but the paltry "lack of sleep" with Isaac PALES in comparison to the extra life complications going on when Alex was 2 months old, or when Jane was, or Sophie for that matter.  :)

Sunday -- January 10th. Two months old on the dot.  :)

Thankfully, we've had no hospitalizations or colic or business trips or ER trips or any other kind of craziness going on.  I mean, we DO have craziness going on, but it's just the normal, garden variety type of craziness that abounds around these parts.  Haha.  Nothing out of the ordinary.  I will say that I think I've done a much better job this time around of not OVER-complicating my life while also taking care of a newborn, so I guess sixth time's a charm?  Live and learn?  Or something along those lines?  Hahahaha.  It could also be that we're just plenty busy enough now that the kids are all older, and I don't feel as much need to add more to our already overflowing to-do lists.  Whatever the case may be, I do feel grateful that I've been able to prioritize things slightly better than I have in the past.  ;)

Isaac -- 2 Months Old
12 lbs 7.5 oz (50th %ile)
23 3/4" (75th %ile)

Anywho, I took Isaac in for his 2 month check-up last week, and he continues to be a fine baby boy.  He's chunking up and growing longer, too.  In fact, his 0-3 month onesies are getting to be quite a stretch on him to snap!  His biggest development from month 1 to month 2, is that he's smiling a lot more and has become very interactive.  The kids love it and so do I.  It's a pretty great reward for taking care of him 24/7.  :)

As Grace would say, there's nothing cuter than a baby in a white onesie.  :)

And there you have it folks, life is good.  I'm SUPER tired, and I think everyone is finally all asleep, so it's time for me to grab some shut-eye before the baby wakes up to eat.  ;)

I just love this little guy in his simple white clothes. Wish I were there to hold him while he's still so small.

He is so sweet, and I love that smile. I liked what you said about not over-complicating our lives. Why do we do that??????? Not necessary. You are a champ.
