Grace is back home! And making her presence known. Hahaha. The problem we are discovering with cousin swaps is that the aftermath is brutal. I think it's partially because they're coming home to a "boring" house after all the fun at the cousin's, but it doesn't help that they've been on their "best" behavior for so long that it's taken its toll, and the pent up emotions just need to come spiraling out. The extreme sleep deprivation also leaves them much more vulnerable to their storm of feelings. And oh was Grace storming tonight. After a two hour meltdown that started with the Kindle Fire and then morphed into "not having anything good to eat in the house," I finally managed to get her to bed with a bowl of melted nutella and graham crackers in tow. Don't judge. It's been a long day. I thought the following series of pictures perfectly captures the feelings being felt in the household tonight. Special thanks to Jane for feeling her feelings, as well, while waiting at the allergist's office this afternoon.

Joy
Sadness
Anger
Disgust
Fear
And there you have it. I'm drained. It's tough keeping up with the roller coaster of emotions going on up in here. Hahaha.
Thank you and goodnight!
