Gobble Gobble

"A Family Turkey Affair" -- or at least that's what its supposed to be. Ethan's class has an assignment this month for every family to work together to create a turkey for Thanksgiving. It can be made out of anything you want, and the route we have taken is paper mache. And even though it's not due until the 20th, Ethan has been badgering me day and night to start working on it. So, this morning I finally gave in and we started.

Below is a Picture Essay of what can go wrong when I am helping Ethan and the girls are left unattended...

Gobble, gobble -- all ready to layer on the paper mache.

"You have to POP the balloons??" -- Ethan finds out what happens once the paper mache dries.

Grace goes native.

And thinks she's REALLY funny.

Sophie gives in to peer pressure.

And then feels guilty that she let Grace dupe her, once again, into making more messes for mom to clean up.

too cute! i love that it (at least appears) that you were taking photos of grace decorating herself instead of stopping her -- that's awesome!

LOVE IT! I love to read your blog because it simply makes me laugh. As for the Halloween pictures you were wanting to see, they have yet to be uploaded. As for the homemade ones you will be expecting, well.....they won't be there this year. Seeing as my sewing machine is in storage, my Mom couldn't find the pedal to hers, and my nice sister in law offering hers----fear of my children ruining it, stopped the homemade ones from being made. So, store bought we did!

Oh Jessica! That is too much! I love the "gives into peer pressure" line. I hope it was washable!

oh man!! gotta love kids and their creativity!!! We bought the kids art easels for Christmas and I am a little hesitant to see what new messes they will be creating!! I keep trying to convince myself that one day I will miss this (some things, yes . . . others I could probably live without). Glad you took pictures!!!

Cute photos!
Send me your address. Ours is the same. I also had some allergy questions about your baby. We also have an appointment to see the allergist.

Dear Jessica,
Please accept my deepest thanks for your support of PETA's hard work this year. I am especially grateful that, even in these challenging times, you never forget that it is animals who suffer the most.
