The Green Mountain State

To be honest, we weren't able to make the most of our time while in Vermont nearly as much as I would have liked to!  Between the timing of WHEN we were there and HOW LONG we were, the only big item off our to-do list that we were able to check off was a visit to Ben & Jerry's for an ice cream Factory Tour.  (Another repeat from our 2017 East Coast road trip.)  I would have LOVED to explore the nearby Von Trapp (of The Sound of Music fame) family lodge while we were in the area, but since we arrived in Stowe on a Sunday afternoon (when there weren't any activities or tours open to the public) and we had to hit the road again after our Ben & Jerry's visit in the morning, we weren't able to check that off our Green Mountain State checklist.  Just another reason to go back and visit again in the future.  Hahaha. :)

I thought the unintentional donning of tie-dye for the day was hilariously apropos.  LOL.

I always love the video presentations at factory tours.

The sample of the day was Churray for Churros.  If Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal were an ice cream, it would taste like this.  Hahaha.

I actually didn't make it up the hill to the Flavor Graveyard this time around.  Sophie was tired and too hot and didn't want to make the trek, so I sat out with her under some trees in the shade while Scott and the other kids went to check it out.

Isaac was a toddler when we were here last time -- I think he enjoyed the experience much more this time around.

While our Vermont adventure might have been short and sweet, it was still well worth the stop if for no other reason than the lovely scenery throughout.  :)

There's my cute little long-haired hippie in the wild.  Hahahaha.
