Have I still not blogged about our August birthdays even though September is almost over?? I guess it's time to rectify that! Hahaha.
First up? ALEX
For Alex's 10th birthday, we headed to the trampoline park with our next door neighbor and met up with some friends from church. TECHNICALLY it's not a friend party year for him, but I figured since I didn't have to plan a full-on party for more than one guest at our house, I'd let it slide. Hahahaha. Our neighbors moved here last year during quarantine, so we didn't really get to know them until this year, but that didn't stop Alex and Antonio from hitting it off right away! Bonding over video games has proven to be one of the ties that bind these two together.
Next? JANE
Since Jane turned twelve this year, it WAS her year to have a friend party and she requested a trip to the skating rink with a couple of friends from church. She also graciously allowed the rest of the family to tag along as well. Was it hilarious watching Isaac try to roller skate? Yes. It absolutely was. Hahahaha. Unfortunately, Isaac wasn't the only one constantly on the verge of wiping out. With a little time and effort, though, the older ones caught on quick enough and I was glad for Alex and Isaac's sake that the skating rink had walkers (or should we call them rollers?) to rent that helped to keep them on their feet. For the most part. Hahaha.
Not pictured? SCOTT
As per usual, I have zero pictures of Scott for his big day, but we did make an effort this year and I made a key lime pie in place of a cake for him. I can't claim that it was a HUGE effort -- Grace just informed me that we did absolutely nothing for his birthday -- but it felt like more than we usually do. Poor Scott.
This post feels slightly lame to me -- there are so many more pictures than text -- but I am finally caught up with the August birthdays, so I'm going to call it good! Hahaha. Thank you and Goodnight!!!
