Batteries Not Inclunded

{No.  That's not a typo.  Or at least, it's not MY typo.  Hahahahahaha.}

We took advantage of today being the elementary school's "Spirit Day" at Chuck E. Cheese, and spent a good couple of hours joining the masses at everyone's favorite place on earth this afternoon! {We've seriously given this Chuck E. Cheese so much business in the short year and a half we've been here.}

It was quite the sweet outing -- after getting the kids a couple of pizzas and supplying two 90-minute cards for the games, Scott and I were essentially able to kick back and relax in a booth while they scurried to and fro accruing as many tickets as possible with their time.  And boy did they make good use of their time!  In a RECORD setting bonanza, they managed to rack up almost 6,000 tickets by the time their cards ran out.  😳  The pile of tickets was so ginormous, we had the attention of almost everyone who passed by the ticket muncher.  And there may have even been pictures snapped by complete strangers.  It probably took 20 minutes just to get our ticket tally!

To everyone's delight, the worker behind the prize counter rounded up our 5,742 tickets to an even 6,000 and the kids excitedly picked out a game {Walking Trash Can} and then divvied up the remaining tickets to get some cotton candy and a giant "soccer ball."  After spending the last ticket, everyone left as happy campers.  😊   Even though the game ended up being a bust -- even with trying two different sets of batteries, we never could get the trash can to walk -- the memories made were priceless and the day was a success in my book.  😉

(Perhaps "batteries 'not inclunded'" should have been our first clue.  Hahahahaha.)
