Tomorrow is the day. We roll out whenever we have woken up enough to be ready to go -- and after we do one final sweep through of the house to make sure it's all cleaned up and ready for the next owners. It has been one crazy, whirlwind week! There's no way we would have been able to make it to the end with out countless helping hands and kind friends. 💕
The ball started rolling on Wednesday, when everything was boxed up, and then on Thursday, another crew came to load the truck. Today was the last day of school -- and while the kids were all out of the house for the last time, I was able to get everything cleaned up and out before we embark on our next big adventure tomorrow morning.
Seriously, though. I am SO incredibly grateful for friends who have made dinner for us this week
(since our house it essentially out of commission), and for all the willing helpers who have taken Isaac off my hands so that I can get the stuff done that I need to, and for the friends who came and helped me clean today while the kids were at school (and out of the way). :)
Moving is always SO hard, but I'm so glad for the almost 5 years we have lived here and all the learning and growing we've done. We have met so many amazing people and made such wonderful friends.
Some of the stuff we're going to have to try and pack in the car with us.
For our last night here, the kids voted on having a campout in the empty house. Hahaha. Grace was the main spearheading force behind it, but the the younger ones were quick to jump on board. Jane's request was that we all camp out together in the same room, and 4 out of 6 children were down with the idea. Ethan and Grace prefer to spend their last night in their OWN rooms, but I don't think anyone minds. ;)
Alex and Jane were the first to conk out. They must have been pretty wiped out.
Meanwhile, Dumplin' Buns never even took a nap today and was STILL awake at 10 o'clock -- and requesting a quesadilla and Peter Rabbit on the iPad. Hahahaha. I'd say he's living a pretty good life.
Cute little lambs all tuckered out.
The set up for the "camp out."
I'll have plenty more to catch up on once we're settled in our new place (I'm looking at you, last day of school) so stay tuned. But for now -- so long, farewell!
