The Year of Follow Through

I have proclaimed 2017 to be the year of follow through!  Ethan hates both the phrase and the concept, as well as the actual following through -- but that's only because so far it has applied mostly to enforcing consequences for poor choices.  Hahaha.  Seriously, though.  He HATES it.

Eventually, I'd like to get around to applying the concept to more things than just ensuring that kids actually do their chores, but in the meantime, I thought it was pretty cool when, on a whim, I looked up the phrase and found the following definition:

Definition of follow through

  1. intransitive verb
  2. 1
  3. 2:  to press on in an activity or process especially to a conclusion.
Coincidence???  I think not!  Hahaha.  So, next time Ethan freaks out about my declaring -- yet again -- that this is the year of follow through, I'll just have to let him know that I'm just keeping in line with our family theme of "forward, pressing forward."  That should help him to come around.  Hahahahahahahaha.  Hahaha.

{Totally unrelated, but Love Pup got his final tooth pulled today.
It's a good thing that our inconsistent and unreliable Tooth Fairy is also making this the year of follow through with doing her job.  Hahaha. ;)  }
