Jane-Ka-Bane Ka-Boo Ka-Bob

A couple of months ago, I attempted a double birthday picture photo shoot with Alex and Jane.  It went exactly how you would expect such an attempt to go.  Jane in particular is a hard one to capture.  She swings back and forth from never staying still to staring off into space; she doesn't listen to save her life; and getting her to follow directions is like trying to herd a cat.

Despite the many obstacles in my path, I was bound and determined to document my 4 year old before it was too late and document her I did.  My favorite thing about Jane at this age is that she still calls me her best friend and really means it.  Some of Jane's favorite things are:

* twirling 

* making faces

* playing with her hair

* spacing out

Oh Jane.  My adorable little space cadet.  I really don't have a favorite child, but this one is my heart's blood.  :) 

* playing house with Alex 

* writing her name over and over again along with everyone else's name in the family 

* drawing

 bedtime doodles

mall doodles

* singing {at the top of her lungs} especially to "Roar" and "Brave"

* playing starfall and friend.lds.org on the computer 

* reading fairy tales

* going to preschool

* and idolizing Grace -- they are definitely kindred spirits

And there you have it.  A portrait of a 4 year old.  I don't know what we'd do without her!
