Dear Mom and Dad,
I had a problem at school today. This is what happened. Today was a hard day for me to stay at a level 0 when asked. I was reminded many times during reading and writing workshops to stop talking. I also had to be reminded a few times to stop talking in the hallways and bathroom. My teacher and I talked about times in school when I am allowed to talk to my friends. Please talk to me about classroom and hallway expectations.
Love, Sophie
{Please sign and return to school tomorrow. Thank you for your support!}
Scott will be quick to remind me that he used to get in trouble for talking too much at school all the time. So I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. I do have to confess, though, that I was trying really hard not to laugh out loud as I read over the note and pictured her {and a young Scott} not being able to control their chattiness in the classroom. Hahahaha. Sophie informed me that she has also been switched to a new seat. Hopefully that will help...

busted. ha. being social - not such a bad problem to have. :)
since when are kids not allowed to talk in halways and bathrooms? hahaha.
that's the same thing i was wondering!!!! hahahaha.
Well, look on the bright side: Judging by the note, Sophie's handwriting looks to be improving and her grammer and syntax is extraordinarily high for her age :p
Hmm. I feel bad for soph- thats pretty traumatizing! Do you think she has a super strict teacher? Or do you really believe Sophie was out of line with constant chatter repeatedly after being asked to be quiet?
i don't feel bad at all. she wasn't traumatized in the least. if anything she was rather indignant about getting in trouble. and yes. i DO believe sophie was talking non-stop. hahahaha. she is a very social little creature. my bigger worry is that she is going turn into regina george. hahahaha.
i don't think her teacher is SUPER strict, but i do agree with jacob that it's kind of ridiculous not to be allowed to talk in the hallways or the bathrooms. it's a bit of an unrealistic expectation if you ask me. but then again, who knows what the real story is.
I remember taking her to all those McDonald play-places... She made at least one new friend each time. :p And wow, Sophie's handwriting is really good.
P.S. Maybe you should send Soph to a Montessori school. :p
I got in trouble for talking all the time...I feel for her.
I've beene thinking about your mom's family down south all week, Are they ok? I hope they haven't flooded too badly and that they are ok. They've been in my prayers.
