Sophie was right...

Yes, ladies and gentlemen it is true. We will be adding another GIRL to our family come August. I'm still getting used to the idea of three little girlie bugs, but the shock wasn't as great as I thought it might be. Although, I do have to say that it just about broke my heart to see Ethan quietly crying in the corner after he saw the news. Poor little thing, he was trying so hard to suck it up and look happy, but he just couldn't quite hold in the tears. :( I almost cried myself.

Well, I'm glad the whole thing is over and done with! I'll end for now, because I have some shopping to do -- you would think that by the 4th pregnancy I would have an adequate maternity wardrobe, but you would think wrong. Until next time...

(p.s. In case it doesn't come across in the tone of this post, we really are excited about having another girl! And I know Ethan will be, too, once she's here. :)

Congrats! I'm excited for you - although I feel Ethan's pain. I STILL remember how upset I was with my 3rd and 4th brothers because I really wanted a sister. But I love having 4 brothers and being the only girl - it was just hard for me for a bit as a kid!

Wow - 3 girls! That sounds like a lot of pink, flowers, and fun! So cute/sad about Ethan wanting a little brother. My brother also has 3 sisters and I think he is still begging my mom to have another kid so he can finally get his brother. :) (Don't think that one is going to happen - sorry bro!)

What is your actual due date? I think our little ones will be about a month apart. I am also struggling in the maternity clothes department. Why are they always too big, and then instantly are too small?! Sheesh!

Grace felt the same way, she was disappointed at first, but she got over the fact that we were having another boy. Congrats!

That was so magnanimus of Heidi. You should chuck Jane and go with Gwendolyn! :-)

Congrats again. I'm excited for you. And praying that you get a nice, EASY baby with no weird allergies or issues. Sophie is a cutie, but you need an easy one this time around.

PS-Post pictures of your new maternity threads!

Yay!! I'm so excited for you! I do feel a little badly for Ethan though. I told Will about this today and he insisted that we "go to Ohio for 15 days and stay in a hotel, so I can help my friend Ethan." Which I thought was noteworthy, since he really doesn't remember him! He feels badly for him too!

3 little girls will be so much fun. The only downside I can see is that none of the hand-me-downs will ever get worn b/c it will be all too tempting to dress all 3 of them alike every Sunday at church!

Congratulations!! I haven't checked blogs for awhile, and didn't realize you were pg. 3 girls - so much fun. Though I can empathize with Ethan, except I had 3 brothers.

Congratulations on your little girl. I love reading your blog because there is so much to relate to. I too was wrong about the gender of all of my kids. I think your idea about the book reading competition with the paper rings is a great idea. I am always looking for ways to get Brayden to read. I also love the seeds. I wanted to start them but then my lazy side kicked in and well- I guess I will just buy the plants from the nursery. Thanks for blogging- I love your posts!

Congrats on your baby girl! How fun. Ethan will be so well trained on handling girls he'll be a great husband. We keep getting boys, so it is fun to hear of other Moms getting a girl. Hope you feel well.

Wow three girls in a row. That is going to make for years of good blog fodder.
Laundry is my nemesis also. I got big baskets for each family member and one for linens and I through the close right into them as I pull out of the dryer. I honestly don't care if they ever get put away now. But the kids can find there clothes atleast.

Congratulations to you. Ethan will be a great big brother to all three and will be one fine husband after learning from his sisters how to treat women.

Congrats! I am so excited for you! Poor Ethan! You can tell him T wasn't too excited about getting another boy because he wanted a sister. Maybe that'll help him feel better!
