the back view (go ahead, you can laugh)
Here are a few light-hearted pictures from yesterday. Ethan was so excited because it finally snowed some "wet" snow so we could build a snowman. So, despite waking up in the middle of the night on Sunday with a burning fever, by Monday morning he was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and excited to get to work. We built a pint-sized snowman and this is the result.
How to build a snowman:
And there you have it. The anatomy of a snowy day.
I mailed off all of our Christmas cards this morning, so if you sent me your address, you should be getting yours in the mail soon! Nothing else really new to report other than the following actual conversation that took place driving home from Barnes & Noble the other day.
Me: Ethan, you're the most handsome boy I know!
Ethan: Well, that's why mom you can't scream at me anymore.
From the mouths of babes.

i love the tape. love it love it! and seeing the snow kind of makes me wish we could have a snowy day here- just one because then i would get too cold.
Ok, so that's the best thing ever. Tape, I need to remember that!
I can't believe how much snow you guys have up there. Guess it's the advantage of being on the benches because of course we have nothing, never have, never will! :(
Cute snowmand by the way!
I love how Ethan just tells you how it is in his mind (like in the last post, too). :) It was fun to see you the other night, and I loved the shots of Grace with her tape. This will be a funny story for her when she's a LOT older. Family stories are the best (I heard a new one last night), but they do seem to be funny (or GET funny) with the years packed on top of them. :)
I was cracking up at grace's tape picture. everyone at work was asking what I was laughing at - so I had to share the story and picture. My friend Katie said the same thing happened with her nephew, except he would smear #2 all over his face. yuck! at least gracie doesn't do that!
i loved ethan's snowman pictures. i don't even like the snow and i missed it when i saw those pics. ethan looks adorable. nice snowman!
What a funny story. Ethan looks so big with his snowman.
Okay the tape is cracking me up. Desperate times do call for desperate measures. Did it work?
Cute snowman.
Not sure if I should turn youguys into Social Services!! Ha! My sister in law did the duct tape thing but I have NEVER seen the full body tape!!! That is too funny. You need to post stories daily because every time i read your stories it makes me realize I'm not the only one with kids that do things that drive me a little crazy!! Love the story about grace and how ethan comes into the room and tells you you need to be nicer. Why is it that moms always end up being the bad people when we wouldn't be so upset if our kids would just be the angels we always hoped they'd be!!!!
That was such a funny story! Love the pictures. I enjoy how kids test your brain--keeping you on your toes when dealing with life's little situations. You'll definitely be pulling that picture out when she's all grown up! By the way Ethan's conversation reminds me of Calvin and Hobbes (he even likes making snowmen, just like Calvin!).
