Almost Done!

Not only is the year starting to wind down here, but I am three-quarters of the way done with Operation Birthday Photo Shoot 2016 as well!  Tonight's honoree?  None other than the Jane-est of my Janes.  Hahaha.

Operation Birthday Photo Shoot 2016: Part Four (of Six)

{Signature pose there}

Things to know about Jane...
  • She is hilarious.  And makes me laugh out loud on the regular.  Between her animated retellings of the day's stories and her insanely entertaining facial expressions, she is one funny walking buddy.

  • She HATES it when I use "character voices" while reading to her.  Which is quite ironic, considering she's such a character herself.  Hahahaha.

(Fake crying?  Real crying?  It was too close to call.  Hahaha.)

  • She was thrilled to hear my hairdresser's pronouncement the other day that her hair is, in fact, BLONDE.  Really dark blonde, but still on the blonde spectrum.  And since Jane has bemoaned the fact for years that she was the only non-blonde in the family, it pretty much made her whole life.  ðŸ˜‰

 (She loves to flare those nostrils.)

  • According to the "All About Me" book she started writing during church a few weeks ago, Grace is her hero.  So, that's adorable -- if unmerited.  And unrequited.

  • And finally, she has the most gorgeous eyes I've ever seen.  And even though she insists they're green, I still maintain that they're a changeable grey.

My Baby is 1!

He's had a birthday, shout hooray! The kids were so excited, they wanted him to open all his presents as soon as they woke up this morning, but I managed to hold them off until after school.  We threw our little family party as soon as they walked through the door thanks to Scott being able to come home from work early this afternoon.  We ate cake and ice cream, helped him open presents, and took LOTS of pictures as we celebrated our little Shoo Shoo turning one year old.  Enjoy the following photo essay of his big day...  :)

 He was L O V I N G his balloon!

 The kids insisted on doing our "traditional" first birthday cake -- yellow cake with chocolate buttercream frosting.  I fancied things up a bit by adding sprinkles and serving it up on our trusty cake stand.

 Seriously loving that balloon.

He jumped at the chance to put on his shoes and go outside to wait for the kids to get home from the bus.

 Waving at the bus! {Insert heart eyes emoji face.  :) }

 Those curls though.  Hahaha.

 Hahahahaha.  Cute little stank face.

 Time for presents!

 Jane was excited to read Isaac her card.

 I had to take a few pictures of just me and my baby.

 The cute little stinker wouldn't look at the camera.

 That's okay, though -- I still love his smoochy little face.  :)

 Cake!

 NOM!

Happy Birthday, Isaac!!!
